I am still fine tuning the category filters. Its very hard, because there is nothing in the data feed that specifically categorizes them. But we are getting better. Breaks is all mixed between Full brakes sets and calipers, so that is what that is right now. Perhaps I will get rid of full sets, and just have it all go in Disc Brake Calipers. We shall see...

I have been working on my filters. I have made some headway. It's incredibly tough to figure these out. When i built the scraper, I pulled information from the retail site, and I knew what category the product was in based on the retail site. In the data feed, there is nothing about what category, so I have to figure it all based on the description. There are still some categories that may have some catch all products. But it's getting there.

**NOTICE** Jenson is a bit messed up category wise. There is a lot more data to extrapolate, So it will take me some time to figure out where all this stuff goes....

Super stoked. I reached out to someone on Jenson USA, and they confirmed my submission to AvantLink, so now I will be able to get all of Jenson's products easier, and maybe make a little money.

Ever delete a file, and not realize it, and leave your site half broken for 2 days? Man I am sorry. I was dong work as usually, and deleting un needed files and I guess I deleted the file that is responsible for the categories.

It's fixed and working now.

I added a search function. You can search all, and withing the categories you have selected. Works well.

I am putting countries on the back burner, and I am working on things like tubeless tires. Right now when you select tubeless tires, it gives you size options to narrow down by size. Works so much better. I am going to do more of this kind of filtering. But I think that when you click on something like tires, it should disable everything else, because it doesn't make sense to look at tubeless tires and everything else.

Here is what I am currently working on. Since the filters are about as good as can get them, I am going to work on adding support for other countries. In other words, Click a drop down, and go to British pounds, and it will show stores in and that ship to England and surrounding. I still have to get approved for one Affiliate program, and I should have them all covered. Right now I basically have a python script that runs on m PC every 6 hours to scape the stores that I don't have affiliate link access, and it works but it is a pain. Also, it doesn't get every last deal.

Blah... I might have went the gambit with the domain name.

I just got my new domain name for the site. FindMTB.deals which is pretty sweet. It's going to be a bit before I get everything aligned with the new domain name. I have to redirect mtbdeals.openmtb.org to findmtb.deals

I have been working very hard on the filters in the scraper to make sure products end up in the correct categories. I have made lots or progress in the last couple of days. There are a few items that because of the name of it, is gong to slip by. But I have added a misc category to catch anything that slips by. So everyone who is checking out the deals going forward should find products are where they should be for the most part. That being said, make sure you check out Misc, under components.
